Across three generations, this commitment has remained at the heart of Embillian tea. Since 1940, our family has continued to uphold a simple belief: to preserve the natural character of Ceylon tea while delivering the freshness, aroma and distinctive flavour that make every cup truly special.
A Tradition Built Around Quality
Our relationship with tea begins at its source. We work closely with more than 300 small-scale tea farmers, supporting the communities whose care and dedication are reflected in every leaf.
Freshly harvested tea leaves are brought to our factory promptly, helping preserve their freshness and quality. The leaves then undergo a carefully guided process within our factory, including withering, rolling, oxidation, firing, sorting and grading, with with each stage playing an essential role in preserving the authentic character, distinctive texture, aroma and flavour of Pure Ceylon Tea.
From freshly picked leaves to finished tea, every stage is carefully managed to preserve quality and develop the distinctive character of Pure Ceylon Tea. Approximately 100 kg of fresh tea leaves produces around 22–25 kg of finished tea, with the leaves naturally reducing in weight throughout the manufacturing process.

Today, Embillian offers a diverse range of pure Ceylon teas and thoughtfully crafted blends. Our family business has also grown to include a selection of authentic Sri Lankan products, from spices and cashews to coconut-based specialties.
